This photo (taken by Stuart McMahon and via the BBC - click on the link to view the picture and others) nicely demonstrates the storm hitting Scotland now. Winds are reaching speeds of hundreds of miles per hour in the capital city of Edinburgh, already known as Scotland’s answer to New York for its weather. Further north, winds are even stronger, to the point where this storm is becoming known as a hurricane, more specifically, Hurricane Bawbag. I don’t think I need to remind people as to the meaning of the name, but it does show how irritated people are by it. Quite frankly, the weather is foul.
